Project Rainbow carries out its biggest project during Utah Pride Week each June. From Provo to Ogden, Project Rainbow stakes hundreds of rainbow flags at residences and businesses along the Wasatch Front to commemorate Utah’s largest pride festival. All proceeds raised by this project benefit the Utah Pride Center.
For the week of Transgender Day of Remembrance (November 20) Project Rainbow stakes transgender pride flags along the Wasatch front from Ogden to Provo. Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is a day to increase visibility for the transgender community and to memorialize the countless transgender individuals who are murdered every year in acts of transphobia. The money raised from this project benefits Transgender Education Advocates (TEA) of Utah! Stand in solidarity with your trans friends, family members, and neighbors against the violence and discrimination they face by displaying a flag this year for TDOR.
